October 2019: Including Health in Sustainability Planning: GuideBox to Healthy Communities
Sponsored by ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability, this webinar featured an introduction to the GuideBox to Healthy Places and its application in sustainability planning processes. The session was part of ICLEI's ongoing series on integrating health into local government planning.
Panelists included Rocky Piro, Colorado Center for Sustainable Infrastructure, and Robin Kerns, Commerce City. The webinar explored how the GuideBox can be adapted for use by local governments and sustainability planning teams, and how health considerations can be woven into existing sustainability frameworks.
2019 Creating Healthy Places Symposium
In May 2019, CU Denver's Health + Design Initiative and the Colorado Healthy Places Collaborative hosted a symposium celebrating the final products of the Creating Healthy Places project, including the Guidebook and GuideBox.
